Comparison

A free Invoice Simple alternative with no monthly invoice limit

How LaloDocs and Invoice Simple actually differ, with the numbers each of us publishes.

Invoice Simple is the closest thing to a direct comparison LaloDocs has: fast, mobile-first, aimed at trades and one-person businesses. Both of us will make you a document before you sign up for anything. The split is the meter.

Its cheapest paid tier, Essentials, is $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year, and allows three invoices a month. Ten a month is Plus at $14.99. Unlimited is Premium at $21.99.

LaloDocs is free for unlimited invoices, permanently. There is no tier to climb as you send more — the paid plan, when Pro opens, is for chasing and collecting rather than for the right to send a fourth invoice.

Which one fits you

  • You want a native iOS or Android app rather than a browser page.

  • You want due-date reminders on a paid tier today; on LaloDocs those arrive when Pro opens.

Where LaloDocs is the better pick

  • You send more than three invoices in a month.
  • You would rather not have a monthly document count at all.
  • You bill in more than one currency or language — 13 document languages, 160 currencies.

Competitor details checked 27 July 2026. Invoice Simple’s published USD list prices, which it notes may vary by local currency.

“Not stated” means the vendor’s own pricing page did not publish that detail when we checked, so we are not asserting a number for it.

Moving your list over

Export clients and items from Invoice Simple to CSV and pick the Invoice Simple mapping preset. Your client list and your item catalog come across. Historical invoices do not.

The mapping presets import a client list and an item catalog. They do not import historical invoices — those stay in Invoice Simple.
